Fete 2026 Raffle Prizes
We are looking forward to seeing you all next week for our annual fete.
We have music from two local bands and a duet by Lorraine and James. Plus a few catchy tunes from the choir
The BBQ will be serving hotdogs, beefburgers - with added extras and pulled pork with apple sauce buns.
There will be soft drinks, crisps, cake, teas and coffees in the church cafe.
Plus the ice cream lady will be here again and St Augustine's Honey will be on sale.
The bouncy castles will be there as well as the fabulous Teddy Zip Wire so don't forget you teddies or other soft toys.
There's the usual games and stalls like the plant stand, soft toy sale, guess the weight of the cake, Play Your Cards Right, Tombola,
Face painting, Tin Can Alley. Princess and Heroes treasure hunt around the grounds and there's more!
The Raffle - these are gfts donated by local businesses to whom we are really grateful
the prizes have been shared between the Raffle and the Tombola stall

Book of Remembrance
We now have a qualified calligrapher (after the sad loss of Hugo Brewer in 2017) to update the Remembrance book. This book sits alongside the Lady Chapel and is opened daily in remembrance of those mentioned on that date. There is a form in the folder at the back of the church for you to complete should you wish for your loved one to be included or complete the form below.
Once complete please return to: Ena Chandler Barbara Black or Rev Dave.
There is a small fee for this service of £20 and if possible please pay using the Gift Aid envelopes

Simply Sing
Do you enjoy singing?
Well why not come along and join us at 2pm on Wednesdays at the church and sing!
A wide and varied selection of songs to lift the spirits and fill you full of joy, all for small fee. Doesn't matter if you can't sing - your enthusiasm will make up for that.
Please contact Revd Dave on vicar@st-augustines.info or just pop into the church just before 2pm on Wednesdays and see what its all about for yourselves, you can be sure of a warm welcome and refreshments.

Could you be our new Treasurer?
Following the resignation of our current Treasurer, Paul Dyer, we are seeking for a volunteer to take over that role as from the 1st January 2026. If anyone wishes to know more about what is involved, or volunteer, please speak to Rev Dave. Paul has very kindly agreed to continue until the year end to enable a smooth handover, and he is due a huge thank you for his work over the past few months.
At present the role covers the church accounts as well as the church hall, but it is hoped to separate the two for next year, and the role might also be split if need be.
