Many of you will remember that last September we had a very successful and enjoyable Guest Service. A guest service is one to which we all invite someone - a friend, family member, colleague, neighbour - recognising that the first step for many people to becoming a churchgoer will be being invited.
The service is a usual 10am service but with some little additions. Some parts of our service will be explained, helping those who are new to church or just exploring to understand why we do (and say and sing) what we do. We will make sure that the hymns are all well-known, the sermon accessible for all, and the coffee and cake plentiful! Above all I hope that you will feel more able to make the invitation because it’s a special guest service, and that your invitees will feel more comfortable accepting it for the same reason.
So, if you’re a regular attendee reading this, think and pray about who you should be inviting. If you’re not a regular, but your receive this email, then please
consider yourself invited! Everyone will be made very welcome!

Do you enjoy singing?
Well why not come along and join us at 2pm on Wednesdays at the church and sing!
A wide and varied selection of songs to lift the spirits and fill you full of joy, all for small fee. Doesn't matter if you can't sing - your enthusiasm will make up for that.
Please contact Revd Dave on vicar@st-augustines.info or just pop into the church just before 2pm on Wednesdays and see what its all about for yourselves, you can be sure of a warm welcome and refreshments.
Following the resignation of our current Treasurer, Paul Dyer, we are seeking for a volunteer to take over that role as from the 1st January 2026. If anyone wishes to know more about what is involved, or volunteer, please speak to Rev Dave. Paul has very kindly agreed to continue until the year end to enable a smooth handover, and he is due a huge thank you for his work over the past few months.
At present the role covers the church accounts as well as the church hall, but it is hoped to separate the two for next year, and the role might also be split if need be.
