Patronal Festival
You are warmly invited to join us for a special service and lunch on our Patronal Festival - Sunday 26th May 2024. A Patronal Festival is a special celebration attched to the feast date of each church's patron saint - in our case Saint Augustine of Canterbury.
The service times on this day will change. There will be no 8am service, 10am service, or Evensong as we hope that everyone will come along to the special service at 11am.
There will be a sign up sheet to express your intention to attend the lunch at the back for church from now on, or you can email Revd. Dave to let him know you will be coming along. vicar@st-augustines.info We hope that we can share this special occasion with you!
The Alpha Course
II am delighted that we will be running Alpha on Thursday evenings at 7:30pm at St Augustine’s beginning on Thursday 9th May. The course will last for between 8 and 10 weeks.
Alpha is for everyone - regardless of your background or beliefs. You don’t ever have to have set foot in a church before. Whether you are just curious, or
you’ve been coming to church but you’ve got questions, Alpha is for you.
The course will give you an opportunity to explore the faith, and look at questions like Who is Jesus? Why and how do I pray? How can I have faith?
