Holy Week and Easter 2026

Journeying with Christ and each other through Holy Week is a moving and special thing to do each year.  Our services take us with Christ through the week leading to his passion and death, and finally to the joy of the resurrection morning.  You are warmly invited to attend as many of the services below as you are able to. 

Palm Sunday (29th March)

8am          Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer

10am        Holy Communion.  Our Service will begin outside the Church if the weather allows  

6:30pm    Evensong

Holy Monday (30th)

7:30pm    Compline (Night Prayer) with reflection 

Holy Tuesday (31st)

7:30pm    Compline (Night Prayer) with reflection  

Holy Wednesday (1st April)

10am        Holy Communion (BCP)

7:30pm    Stations of the Cross

Maundy Thursday (2nd April)

7:30pm    Liturgy of Maundy Thursday followed by optional vigil until 10pm

Good Friday (3rd April)

10am       Easter Children's craft morning and service beginning in the church hall

2pm         Service of the Cross

Easter Sunday (5th)

6am         Dawn Service at Shoebury East Beach (hosted by STBBC)

8am         Holy Communion from the Book of Common Prayer

10am       Family Communion with Easter Egg Hunt and a glass of fizz

6:30pm   Evensong (followed by a glass of wine and nibbles)
