Funerals

A church funeral service at St Augustine's is available to all those who desire it.  The church can hold around 250 people and provides a traditional and peaceful setting for this most important service.

The location is very convenient for family and friends to get to and there is generally no time constraint on how long the service takes; the wishes of the family are paramount.

Fees for a funeral at St Augustine's in 2022 are as follows:

If preferred one of our clergy can conduct a service at the crematorium rather than the church.  Fees for this service in 2022 are:

There is a book of remembrance in the church into which the name of a deceased relative or friend can be inscribed.  Should you wish to have a name or names entered please ask a sidesperson or churchwarden for a form.  There is no charge for entry but a donation of £20, gift aided if possible, is requested for each name entered.

Bereavement support is offered to those who have been widowed.
