Southend Community Safety Partnership (CSP)

The old Neighbourhood Watch website has now been combined with the Southend Community Safety Partnership (CSP).

Southend Community Safety Partnership (formerly Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership) is a multi-agency team which brings together partner organisations including Essex Police, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service and South East Essex Primary Care Trust, among others, who share the overall objective of ‘making Southend safer'.

Essex Community Messaging:

Did you know you can keep informed about the policing and community safety issues which affect you?  Essex Community Messaging allows you to take an active role in helping to keep crime down in your community whilst keeping up to date with what’s going on around you.  And you can select what information you would like to receive – based on where you live, work, go to school or socialise, or on issues in which you may have a particular interest.

All you have to do is sign up, for free, at and choose to receive these messages via email, text or voice message

If you don’t have access to a computer, don’t worry. Just visit your nearest police station and Essex Police front office staff will be pleased to help you sign up or you can log on to a computer at your nearest library. This means you will have to choose either the text or voicemail option.

If you don’t have an email address or a mobile phone number, you can still register to receive voice messages on your landline. Simply ring the support line on 0161 327 2616 between 9am and 5pm on weekdays – you can leave a message at other times – and sign up that way.

As soon as you have registered, you will begin receiving regular, accurate, up-to-date information, crime prevention advice and notifications from Essex Police, the Essex Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) and Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) to help keep you and your community safe.

The project has been jointly funded by Essex Police and the Crime Commissioner and from money seized from criminals under the Proceeds Of Crime Act (POCA).
