Special Baby Loss Service - Sunday 13th October at 4pm.

This year St Augustine's will be holding a Special Baby Loss Awareness Week Remembrace Service to offer support to families who have experienced this devastation loss, and honour little ones who are never forgotten.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is held annually through-out the world from 9th to 15th October to raise awareness about the key issues affecting those who have experienced pregnancy or baby loss in the UK.  Through-out the week bereaved parents, their families and friends, unite with each other and other bereaved families across the world to commemorate the lives of babies who died during pregnancy or soon after birth and in infancy.  Please feel very welcome to join us at the service where you are able to write your baby's name and /or a significant date or message on a small wooden heart which will be placed in a glass container with a blessing and kept by the Lady Chapel Atlar through-out the year.

We also offer you a small gift of a remembrance tea light candle in a pink, blue or white organza bag for you to take home and light as part of the global 'Wave of Light' at 7pm on Tuesday 15th October.  Around the world at 7pm families light a candle to allow it to burn for an hour with the hope of spreading a wave of light across the earth in remembrance of their children and in solidarity and support for others who have experienced child loss.

The service will be followed by refreshments and the opportunity for a chat, if wished.  For more information please call Barbara on 07969 099396 and if you are in need of support please feel free to join us every 3rd Friday of the month at SAILs stillbirth and infant loss support from 7pm at St Augustine's church hall.
