Open Gardens.   On Sunday 9th July we will be holding an Open Gardens event from 2 - 5 pm at 83 Parkanaur Avenue, Thorpe Bay SS1 3JA.  This will include the Open Garden Railway!   Entrance will be £2.50 for adults with all proceeds going towards the enhancement of the church grounds.  Entrance for children is Free and there will be refreshments and plants for sale.

All Souls Service.  All Soulstide in early November is that time when the Church especially remembers all those who have died and those who mourn them.  We hold a lovely All Souls service every year but our current organisers will be leaving Thorpe Bay in the next month or so and we're looking for someone to take over the task.  A complete guide of what to do and how to do it has been produced and its a very rewarding role.  If you feel you might be able to assist please have a word with either Fr Jonathan, Rev Chris or Lynn/Peter Barron.

Where to find us

We are located in the middle of Thorpe Bay, about two miles east of Southend on Sea and just a short walk from the sea front.  We are easily accessible by train (Thorpe Bay station is on the main line from London Fenchurch Street) and bus (Nos 1, 7 and 9), and there is ample on-street parking around the church. The church itself is on an island site at the junction of Johnstone Road and St Augustine’s Avenue.

Our address is:

St Augustine’s Church,

St Augustine’s Avenue,

Thorpe Bay, Essex.

SS1 3JH.
